BBC West Midlands is keen to appoint a creative and ambitious producer who will work across TV, radio and online developing programme ideas around pan BBC projects.
Whether it's Stargazing or Springwatch, the First World War centenary or Children in Need, do you understand regional TV and local radio audiences well enough to make sure the big ideas work for our daily programmes? You will also be asked to take a lead role on pan England programmes during Elections and around big issues like Transport doing two-ways for radio and television.
The successful candidate will be a self-starter who can juggle a busy diary and the many and varied demands of several Editors. You should be able to present new ideas to large groups of senior colleagues and secure their buy in. You should be an experienced producer who is equally at home with long form production and fast turnarounds. You'll work closely with the regional Learning Project Manager and become part of the Pan BBC Co-ordinator network across the English Regions. You'll also represent the BBC at community events in the Midlands. An ability to self-shoot - or a willingness to learn - will be essential.
