Job Summary
Cardno ERI is seeking a Staff Scientist/Staff Geologist/Staff Hydrogeologist for our Dallas and Houston Texas offices. This position will entail field assessment work including drilling oversight, sampling, data gathering, and analysis. Operations and maintenance support may also be required.
Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Ability to follow behavior based safety program and client procedure adherence and tracking.
- Conduct office-based activities such as report preparation, permitting, and permit compliance.
- Coordination of field activities, including logging soil, monitoring well development, well installation and sampling.
- Perform pilot studies such as aquifer testing.
- Perform Sensitive Receptor Surveys.
- Prepare routine correspondence, data reports, standardized documents and work plans for internal and client review.
- Permitting as necessary.
- Oversight of contractors and field staff.
Other Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years related experience.•BS is Geology, Engineering, Environmental Science or related field.
- Must be able to work in an environment where safety is at the forefront of all operations.
- Demonstrated ability to follow directions and work independently and in a team environment.
- Self-motivated.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- Valid/current US driver’s license.
- 40 Hour OSHA HAZWOPER training preferred,
- Ability to work in both office and field environments.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to lift 25 pounds.
- Availability to work overtime.
- Must be able to wear a respirator and complete required annual OSHA physicals.
- Bilingual capabilities (Spanish) is a plus.
