Finance and Administration Director IPC - International Paralympic Committee


The International Paralympic Committee (IPC) is the global governing body of the Paralympic Movement. The IPC supervises the organisation of the Summer and Winter Paralympic Games, and serves as the International Federation for nine sports, for which it supervises and co-ordinates the World Championships and other competitions. The IPC is committed to enabling Paralympic athletes to achieve sporting excellence and to developing sport opportunities for all persons with a disability from the beginner to elite level. In addition, the IPC aims to promote the Paralympic values, which include courage, determination, inspiration and equality.
The IPC offers the position of a full-time IPC Finance and Administration Director at the IPC Headquarters in Bonn, Germany, starting as soon as possible.
Tasks and responsibilities
You will be responsible for Finance
  • Ensuring proper management and development of financial functions,
  •  Management of all budgets and bookkeeping, including Paralympic Games,
  •  Preparation of annual accounts and annual external audits,
  •  Co-operation and liaison with external auditors, finance and tax authorities,
  •   thus ensuring the compliance with German and International tax laws,
  •  Presentation of financial updates and reports to the IPC Governing Board
  •   and General Assembly, and
  •  Staff liaison to the IPC Audit & Finance Committee.
Administration
  •  Office and Administration Management (including maintenance of building)
  •  Support of IPC Paralympic Games operations with/in all necessary administrative matters
  •  Development of IPC event concepts and strategies and oversee implementation
  •  Liaison with IPC IT Consultant and other IT and telecom providers
  •  Management of distribution of IPC technology and Software to IPC Staff (desktop computers, notebooks, Mobile phones)
  •  Management of the development and implementation of relevant databases
  •  Supervision of IPC filing policies and the activities of the IPC Documentation Centre
Requirements
You should
  •  have a university degree in Finance or a related field,
  •  have relevant working experience including personnel management in the field of Finance as well as knowledge of administration, business, budgeting, accounting and commercial procedures,
  • have the ability to manage multiple projects at a time and meet deadlines,
  •  have strong analytical, organizational and communicative skills,
  •  have excellent verbal and written command in German and English (knowledge of other languages is an advantage), and
  •  have experience and working knowledge with Olympic, Paralympic and/or other major international sport organizations as well as in sports on a national and international level.
