HEAD, CREDIT RISK MANAGEMENT
Job Summary:
The Head, Credit Risk Management is the custodian of the Bank’s credit risk policies processes and procedures with the objective of providing leadership, direction, preserving and enhancing the Bank’s risk capital and financial sustainability in line with best practices. The position holder manages the approval process for new loans and restructuring of existing loans by performing financial and credit analysis to establish credit worthiness; performs credit reviews and due diligence; manages the Bank’s Credit Risk Assessment System (CRAS) and proposes any necessary changes to the platform; ensures adequacy and consistency of loan provisions and classification; manages the periodic re-review process to ensure in-house credit information is up to date; and prepares reports for the Management Risk Committee and the Board.

Job Specifications:
- A Masters degree in Banking, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering or Mathematics. A relevant professional qualification will have added advantage;
- A minimum of 8 -10 years of post-qualification experience in a commercial banking or development finance institution performing demonstrable corporate credit risk analysis functions with the ability to analyse risk based transactions i.e. trade finance, project and infrastructure finance loans, structured finance and a general knowledge of traded and capital market products;
- Strong quantitative orientation with modelling knowledge and hands-on skills in IT;
- Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment and manage priorities with strong professional independence;
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines with minimal supervision;
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.

SENIOR STRATEGIC PLANNING OFFICER
Job Summary:
The Senior Strategic Planning Officer is responsible for providing technical leadership in the development and elaboration of plans, strategies and programmes and in the monitoring, evaluation and reporting on plan implementation, including the Balanced Score Card. The position serves as Secretary of the Management Committee and custodian of the Corporate Register of Management Actions, monitoring and reporting on progress in the implementation of actions arising from Management and Board Committees, which will be programmed into the Bank’s balanced score card and annual action plans.
The Senior Strategic Planning Officer is responsible for providing technical leadership in the development and elaboration of plans, strategies and programmes and in the monitoring, evaluation and reporting on plan implementation, including the Balanced Score Card. The position will develop and maintain the Bank’s registers of Balanced Score Card, and Management Action on behalf of the President. The position will also provide internal consulting services to various departments on the implementation of strategic initiatives and the alignment of strategy, structure, process, culture and technology; coordinating the on-going collection, analysis and synthesis of strategic information; to advance and enhance the on-going process of strategic management across the Bank.
The role will also serve as corporate coordinator and facilitator of organisational development and capacity building interventions across the Bank, integrating these to the Register of Management Action, working closely with Corporate Services on procurement and external skill/services aspects, with Corporate Affairs on partnership and donor management aspects and the Finance Department on budget and accounting aspects. The position will supervise consultants and specialists as required.
Job Specifications:
- MBA, with specialization in finance and/or banking. A relevant professional qualification in the area of banking/finance/investments will have added advantage;
- A minimum of 8 - 10 years of progressively senior and diversified working experience in a reputable banking environment at a corporate level;
- Technical experience in performance management, programme management/evaluation, systems development and controls in the context of a financial institution; to enable cross-cutting functional and business-related engagements;
- Managerial experience in driving and coordinating corporate initiatives, projects and programmes;
- Significant international experience and demonstrated ability to work in a multi-national and multi-cultural environment;
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.

- A Bachelors degree in Human Resources Management or related field with a minimum of 8 - 10 years of post-qualification experience or a Masters degree in Human Resources Management or related field with a minimum of 5 - 8 years of post-qualification experience in Banking or regional / international organization environment;
- A strong human resources management track record with demonstrable experience, particularly in the areas of BSC, PM, ability to head hunt high calibre professionals, Strategic Recruitment, Reward and Compensation, Young Professionals Programme and other human resources initiatives;
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and control staff in a demanding environment;
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work in a multicultural setting;
