Cultural Practice, LLC (CP) is a small women-owned business offering international development consulting services based in Bethesda, MD. CP is recruiting agriculture and food security consultants with international experience to support a five (5) year USAID-funded food security and development program based in Washington, DC. The program will provide a range of integrated and knowledge-driven technical services to support the US Government’s Feed the Future (FTF) initiative, FTF Missions and host countries, and USAID’s Bureau for Food Security. The program aims to deliver: 1) state-of-the-art food security support services with a focus on program and project design and management; 2) expert analyses; 3) capacity building; and 4) bridging support and/or small scale pilots.
 
Interested candidates should have subject matter expertise in at least one of the following areas: agricultural specialists (including agronomy, plant pathology, soil science, entomology, etc.); agricultural economics; gender; nutrition; climate smart agriculture; policy analysis and legislation drafting; resilience; and capacity-building. We are seeking candidates with various levels of experience. Candidates with a Masters, M.D., Ph.D., Dsc. Or Ed.D., must have a minimum of five (5) years of developing-country and/or role-relevant work experience. Candidates with a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 10 years of developing-country, role-relevant work experience will also be considered. For all candidates, experience in one or more of the following countries is highly desirable: Bangladesh, Cambodia, Ethiopia, Guatemala, Ghana, Haiti, Honduras, Kenya, Liberia, Malawi, Mali, Mozambique, Nepal, Rwanda, Senegal, Tajikistan, Tanzania, Uganda, and Zambia.
