Background to Organisation
The project "les ateliers pARTage" (LAP) is based in Brussels. We use - under the title of "Sociable Art" - participatory visual art methods to build social links. It promotes, on the national, European and international level, the collaboration between artists, cultural operators, professionals in social work, business/corporate field and urban planning.
The aim of "Sociable Art" is to colour the everyday life environment by productions (frescos, facade projections, multimedia installations, merchandizing, etc.) that magnify the personal and collective creativity of the audience.
Artists consolidate the contribution of targeted publics to creative workshops within collective artworks. A prominent role is given to fragile groups in the projects. Each project is tailored to its context.
To reach its objectives, "les ateliers pARTage" (LAP) develops activities of training, implementation of creative workshops, production and communication.

Introduction to role
This position is an excellent opportunity within an innovative cultural and social initiative working on the national, European Union and international level. The successful applicant will spearhead the organisation’s new capital and organise fundraising campaigns and initiatives, working closely with the Director of “les ateliers pARTage” (LAP). The post offers the applicant the opportunity to be involved with the design and development of a wide variety of tasks to meet the campaign targets. Upon completion of the campaign the post holder will focus on regular fundraising activities as a member of the staff of “les ateliers pARTage” (LAP) and in close collaboration with this last.
Areas of Responsibility
  •  The Fundraising Officer's main task is to increase the contributions of individuals and groups to LAP by
  • building relationships and exploring new fundraising opportunities.
  •  Prospect for new donors, both individual and groups/organisations and manage these relationships.
  •  Create and develop a database of potential and current donors.
  •  Design, co-ordinate and oversee fundraising events.
  •  Develop new fundraising activities including, but not limited to, direct marketing to existing and new supporters.
  •  Supporter recruitment and management.
  •  To prepare fundraising documents and other supporting materials.
  •  Raise awareness of the sociable art, at both the local and national and international level.
  •  Build up and coordinate web-based fundraising.
  •  Working with all forms of media and producing supporting material to raise the organisation's profile.
  •  Assist with administration of fundraising and other routine tasks.
Individual Profile
  •  Good interpersonal skills
  •  Good communicator, both written and oral
  •  Experience as a fundraiser with a good knowledge of EU funding programmes
  •  Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  •  Professional attitude to work
  •  Proficient user in English and French
  •  Good informatics skills
  • Preferably educated to degree level and with an interest for culture and social issues.
