Aidenvironment is an independent consultancy practice. We advise, support and encourage organizations in realizing their sustainability ambitions.  Making international agricultural value chains more sustainable and ensuring food security is our core activity. We have offices in Amsterdam, the Netherlands and in Bogor, Indonesia.
For our head office in Amsterdam, we are currently searching a senior agro-economist
The senior agro-economist will play a leading role within Aidenvironment and will:
  • Provide high quality advice to our clients, with an emphasis on
    • Financial and economic analysis of investments, projects and programs (e.g. feasibility studies, business plans)
    • Value chain finance and -economics
    • Financial and economic aspects of monitoring and evaluation assignments
    • Policy and strategy development
  • Lead teams of consultants
  • Coach colleagues on financial- and economical matters
  • Lead acquisition and account management
  • Be involved in product development and knowledge management
  • Actively contribute to the further development and growth of Aidenvironment
Profile
The successful candidate has:
  • A sound and longstanding track record as an international consultant in agro-economy
  • Proven experience in working with both private and public sector players in value chain development and  food security
  • Strong analytical and strategic skills
  • A profound vision on sustainable development
  • Experience in leading multidisciplinary professional teams
  • Experience in shaping multi-stakeholder processes
  • A professional background (MA/MSc or PhD) in Agricultural Economics or related field
  • An excellent working knowledge of English and Dutch. Knowledge of a third language such as French, Spanish, Portuguese or Indonesian is greatly appreciated
