Office manager , Singapore

Chemonics seeks an office manager for a long-term position under a five-year, USAID-funded project to support US-Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC). The project will support regional economic integration within APEC member states under APEC's three pillar framework of trade and investment liberalization, business facilitation, and economic and technical cooperation; and assist its work program to ultimately achieve the Bogor Goals of free and open trade and investment in the region. The project is anticipated to begin November 2013. We are looking for individuals who have a passion for making a difference in the lives of people around the world.
 
Responsibilities include: 
  • Assist in all aspects of project office start-up, including establishing and maintaining office files, contracting vendors, and acquiring work permits and visas for expatriate staff  
  • Logistical planning and coordination of conferences, meetings, travel, and reporting of expenses  
  • Assist in drafting employment agreements, posting job vacancies, and overseeing performance of support staff in conjunction with the chief of party​
  • Procure and maintain an inventory list of office equipment and supplies following standard USAID procurement procedures
Qualifications: 
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Minimum five years of experience serving as an office manager
  • Strong professional background in administration, preferably on a donor-funded project
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software, including Excel, Access, and Word
  • Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity​​​
  • Fluency in speaking, reading, and writing English
