International Communications Manager - Instagram

Instagram seeks an experienced communications manager to lead its international communications. The international communications manager will provide creative and strategic communications support for all of Instagram’s efforts in countries outside of the United States. The successful candidate will have strong experience in developing and executing high-profile international communications programs, managing issues and will be skilled at working with PR managers and agencies in a variety of countries. This is a full-time position based in London, UK

Responsibilities

• Create and manage public relations strategies and programs to communicate about Instagram around the world
• Drive positive coverage in consumer media in worldwide
• Protect and enhance the reputation of Instagram
• Support and manage the creation of press materials
• Work closely with colleagues and external PR agencies in Europe, Latin America and Asia Pacific Organize press briefings, media sessions, and events
• Prepare briefing materials and manage executive spokespeople

Requirements

• Minimum bachelors degree
• post-graduate or professional degrees preferred
• Proven successful track record of experience in both agency and in-house preferred
• Previous background in Internet, technology and consumer PR
• Experience working with international media to achieve communications goals
• Excellent project management skills and ability working cross-functionally
• Experience in managing multiple PR agencies and contractors
• Ability to think and communicate strategically with a variety of people
• Deep understanding and passion for Instagram
• Excellent oral and written communications skills (additional language skills a plus)
• Experience working on the ground in a variety of countries a plus
