Financial Analyst: Accounts Receivable
Introduction:
Monitor monthly revenue performance and preparing management reports and analysis on a regular basis. Provide guidance in identifying revenue control risk, and develop and implement revenue control plans. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of revenue control plans.
Responsibilities:
  • Manage the electronic communication database to ensure seamless revenue income streams
  • Ensure synchronised information between revenue and financial systems
  • Liaise with operations, licensing and technical departments regarding revenue collection
  • Perform month-end reconciliations and investigate variations and exceptions
  • Carry out half yearly reconciliations of accruals and annual electronic communication accruals
  • Report on revenue income, variations and exceptions
  • Assist with internal auditors and Auditor-General query resolution.
Requirements:
  • Grade 12 and a qualification in Accounting or completed clerkship
  • 3 to 5 years' experience in a finance and/or revenue accounting and analysis environment
  • A valid driver's licence
  • Ability to analyse financial statements, perform complex reconciliations and attend to auditors
  • Performance-focused and results-driven
  • Good communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to cope with stress, conflict and crises
  • Problem-solving skills.
