Insurance Europe is the European insurance and reinsurance federation. Through its 34 member bodies — the national insurance associations — Insurance Europe represents all types of insurance and reinsurance undertakings, eg pan-European companies, monoliners, mutuals and SMEs. Insurance Europe, which is based in Brussels, represents undertakings that account for around 95% of total European premium income. Insurance makes a major contribution to Europe's economic growth and development. European insurers generate premium income of over €1 100bn, employ nearly one million people and invest almost €8 400bn in the economy.
For our Communications and PR department, we are looking for a (m/f)
Policy Advisor Communications & PR
Function
  • Reporting to the head of communications, you will be responsible for:
  • identifying and writing media material, including web news, press releases and press statements;
  • dealing with media enquiries;
  • drafting and editing Insurance Europe publications (strategic reports, statistical reports, briefing notes,
  • annual reports);
  • preparing member communications (newsletters);
  • managing and developing web content;
  • assisting with event organisation.
Profile
  • minimum 3 years’ experience in a communications or journalism role, ideally for a European organisation;
  • native-level English;
  • demonstrable writing skills, particularly news writing and writing for the web;
  • demonstrable editing and proofreading skills;
  • knowledge of insurance and/or financial services an advantage;
  • exceptional organisation and communication skills;
  • self-starter, able to work autonomously but also as part of a busy team;
  • knowledge of French, German or other languages an advantage.
