YouthPower IDIQ manager

Chemonics seeks a youth development specialist to serve as the indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract manager for the anticipated YouthPower IDIQ. This anticipated project will focus on supporting, protecting, preparing, and engaging youth across all technical sectors -- health, private sector development, agriculture, environment, democracy and governance, education -- as well as multisectoral or cross-sectoral projects. Anticipated projects under the YouthPower IDIQ will focus in areas such as employability and skills training for in- and out-of-school youth, reproductive rights and HIV/AIDS prevention, civic engagement, and supporting governments to develop more youth-friendly strategies and policies. 

The IDIQ manager will be based in Washington, D.C., and will provide overall technical direction and management oversight for IDIQ activities, subsequent task​ orders, and overall technical leadership. We are looking for individuals who have a passion for making a difference in the lives of people around the world.

Qualifications:
  • Advanced degree in a relevant field required
  • Minimum of eight years of experience managing complex USAID programs in areas of youth economic development, learning, health, conflict mitigation, or democracy and governance
  • Proven experience in program design and implementation, compliance, budget development, personnel management, and client negotiation and relations
  • Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity
  • English fluency required
