Facilitator - Turkey agriculture implements study tour

Chemonics seeks a Turkey agriculture implements study tour facilitator for the USAID-funded Firms Project in Pakistan. As part of the Firms Project's continuous efforts to further develop agriculture implements manufacturing sector, a study tour is planned for the sector beneficiaries to visit agriculture implements manufacturing units of Turkey. This study tour aims to build capacities and expose the beneficiaries to industrial engineering principles, enhance their technical capacity and implement the best manufacturing practices in their facilities. The objective of this consultancy is to identify and select agricultural implements manufacturing units and other relevant stakeholders in Turkey and arrange the tours and meetings for the delegation from Pakistan. We are looking for individuals who have a passion for making a difference in the lives of people around the world.​
Responsibilities include:
  • ​Identify and finalize meetings with suitable agricultural implements manufacturing units, production facilities, associations, and other relevant stakeholders in Turkey 
  • Accompany delegation in Turkey for visits/meetings and facilitate logistics of the tour
  • Support and assist the sector lead of the agricultural implements manufacturing sector and project staff for the successful accomplishment of study tour 
  • Submit a final report covering all the activities completed during the study tour and about the accomplishment of his/her deliverable 
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in agricultural, mechanical, or metallurgical engineering or a related field required
  • At least five years of working experience and sound understanding of agricultural manufacturing, preferably in Turkey
  • Strong connections with the Turkish manufacturers of agricultural implements, their association, and other relevant stakeholders 
  • Experience of arranging such study tours is essential; a list of such tours must be submitted with CV 
  • Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Turkish and English required
