Academic Position in Sports Science at Reykjavik University

The School of Science and Engineering at Reykjavík University is seeking applications for an academic position in sports science.  Responsibilities include teaching, conducting research, providing research supervision and academic administration as required. Additionally the candidate will be responsible for leading the development of a master's programme in sports science and developing its research activities. Position level can range from assistant professor to full professor, depending on qualifications.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Applicants must hold a PhD degree in sports science, specifically in one of the following areas:  Exercise science and coaching, exercise physiology and physical activity.  
Preferred qualifications include:
  • University teaching experience.
  • Research and/or professional experience in the field.
  • Good interpersonal skills, initiative and independence are considered very valuable.
