Compliance Manager

The Compliance Manager will answer to the Executive Director of the Alliance of European Conservatives and Reformists and be responsible for the management of all accounting and compliance issues relating to the work of the AECR.
Tasks will include overseeing all payments made to and from the AECR and guaranteeing that they comply with the European Parliament's rules governing European political parties as well as Belgium's accounting rules and standards.
The compliance manager will be responsible for managing the AECR's yearly audit as well as all communications with the European Parliament's financial authorities and auditors.
The Compliance Manager will play an important role in the preparation of the AECR’s regular formal meetings such as Board meetings, Council meetings and Conferences.
In particular, the Compliance Manager will be responsible for official communications between the AECR Board and the AECR Council and Conference and also manage the preparation of all official documentation. In doing so, they will have to strictly adhere to the Statutes and Internal Regulations of the AECR.
The successful candidate will have at least 3 years experience in the accounting or European political sectors and have an excellent level of English. A good knowledge of other major European languages is desirable though not essential.
The successful candidate will have a good understanding of the WINBOOKS and ISABEL accounting tools; will be familiar with the European Parliament's regulations surrounding European political parties and also have a good understanding of European VAT regulations.

Interview/Start Dates: Interviews will be carried out in Brussels on the 3rd April.
The successful applicant will take up their position on 1 July 2014.
