IELTS Scholarship Award 2014

The British Council has invited applications for IELTS Scholarship Award 2014. Eight successful candidates shall be eligible for an award of Rs. 3,00,000.

Any full-time program in overseas university that uses IELTS score shall be financed. In order to be eligible, the candidate must be a resident and citizen of India. She/he must have taken the IELTS test with the British Council and should have an IELTS band score of 6.0.

Again, they have to submit a valid letter of acceptance from the institute concerned that uses IELTS score card for the admission process.

If the candidate has started or about to start an undergraduate or postgraduate program in abroad, then she/he is eligible to receive the scholarship for the academic year 2014.

IELTS (International English Language Testing System) being the world’s most popular English language test, registered more than 2 million IELTS tests last year. This test gives scope to those who aspire to live, study and work around the world. There are more than 9,000 organizations worldwide who accept IELTS score. Be it government, academic or employment institutions, IELTS open the door for everything. Even for the immigration purposes, IELTS is the only test accepted by all countries that require one.

Applications for the British Council IELTS Scholarship Award 2014 shall be reviewed against the eligibility criteria. It will be further assessed by external assessment raters and British Council officers. Only after being shortlisted, candidates shall be invited to attend a face-to-face video-taped interview, where they will face a panel of senior managers and external raters from the higher education department.
