Organisational Background
The Mowgli Foundation is an award winning, UK-headquartered mentoring organisation founded to support the sustainable development of societies through the mentoring and evolution of entrepreneurs and leaders. Mowgli provides mentoring that inspires, connects and guides entrepreneurs and leaders to overcome life's personal and business challenges. Mowgli currently boasts an alumni group of over 1300 entrepreneurs and mentors which continues to grow through the implementation of its MENA-wide projects. 

Summary of Job Role 
Due the expansion of Mowgli’s operations and projects in the MENA region, an exciting intern role has come up to support the new and ongoing portfolio of entrepreneurship and mentoring projects. We are looking for a self-starting and proactive individual to join the programmes and operations team on a part-time basis for two to three days per week. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to support on the end to end delivery of new projects, as well as those that are in progress, with the focus being on our French-speaking Morocco and Algeria portfolio. 
Tasks would largely cover: outreach and monitoring activities, participation in local partner engagement and project planning, assistance in the production of marketing collateral and some translation work. A strong organisational ability in addition to well-developed cultural and interpersonal skills will be important to the undertaking of the role successfully. The opportunity would suit someone seeking to gain experience in the NGO/charity/development field with a focus on the MENA region and/or entrepreneurship.


Duties and Responsibilities 

The following duties will be required of the job role 
- Assisting with French-speaking projects in Morocco and Algeria.
- Conducting outreach activities, engaging via telephone in French and English with our entrepreneur and mentor participants to ensure timely provision of monitoring and feedback for new and ongoing programmes. 
- Collating feedback from programme entrepreneurs and analyse data for reporting purposes. 
- Assisting the projects and operations team in the production and submission of project reports. 
- Participating in partner conference calls, which may involve some interpretation and minute taking duties.
- Producing participant case studies or ‘success stories’ in French and English.
- Assisting in the production of project marketing and communications collateral, including some translation work from English>French and vice versa. 
- Assisting in the organisation of on-going events in the region. 
- Undertaking any other tasks as needed or designated the relevant programme coordinator. 

It is expected that the role will not be limited to aforementioned tasks. 
Person Specification 

Experience, Skills and Qualifications
Essential 
- An undergraduate level degree or working towards an undergraduate degree. 
- A native or equivalent (high-level) proficiency in French (speaking, reading, writing and listening). 
- Strong analytical skills with demonstrable experience of collation and reproduction of data. 
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 
- Professional, polite and confident phone manner with good listening skills. 
- Previous practical experience of supporting a team administratively. 
- Good command of computer packages such as Word, Outlook and Excel. 
- An interest in the Middle East and North Africa and business/entrepreneurship. 
- Active willingness to seek to understand and discover new knowledge. 
Desirable 
- Knowledge and ability to use survey software packages. 

Remuneration 
The Outreach and Operations intern position will be unpaid. Reasonable lunch and travel expenses will be covered on the days of work.
