Deputy Team Leader, Capacity Development

The Program
The PNG Provincial and Local-level Governments Program (PLGP) is a partnership between the governments of Australia and PNG to support and improve the quality of decentralised service delivery to the people of PNG through technical support provided to provincial governments and key national agencies.
The Position
PLGP is seeking a Deputy Team Leader to support the achievement of program outcomes through effective management and facilitation of agreed capacity development initiatives. This position will ensure that PLGP capacity development interventions are consistent, well-managed and progressed smoothly under Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade and Government of PNG policy and guidelines. This position will lead the implementation of agreed capacity development support while monitoring and reporting on progress.
The Person
Ideally you will have experience in advising and reporting on capacity development in a developing country context. You will also have demonstrated ability to provide effective leadership as a part of a senior management team and experience in meeting donor planning, monitoring and reporting requirements. The ability to develop constructive and supportive relationships and to engage with donors and senior levels of government on strategic level advice is imperative to this position.
