ETRM Business Analyst

Our Client - Leading Global Commodities Trading House looking for an ETRM Business Analyst. This role is based in Stamford, CT, and relocation is offered for the right candidate.
 
Job Description -  In this role the successful ETRM Business Analyst will be expected to design, develop, implement, and support technology-based solutions to support the business activities of the trading and operations teams.

You will be expected to provide day-to-day support for their ETRM application and associated satellite systems, including report writing and technical install/configuration activities. To do this you will liaise with business managers, subject matter experts and low-level users to understand and document business requirements across various business areas.

Other responsibilities include-

• Ensuring project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately
• Effectively communicating relevant project information to project manager and key stakeholders
• Managing deliverables against an approved scope of work
• Initiating and facilitating a functional and technical spec review process to ensure all requirements are understood and being satisfied
• When required, develop, test, and deliver code-based software solutions based on standard Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) procedures and practices
• Developing and executing detailed testing scenarios 

Candidate Requirements – For this role you will need to be degree educated with a minimum of 4 years Information Technology analysis, design, development, integration and production support experience with at least 2 years of this within technical support for Energy Trading and Risk Management systems.

For this role you should also have at least 2 years experience with an ETRM application (OpenLink, SunGard, Triple Point, Allegro, etc.). Microsoft development experience with the Visual Studio .Net framework and C# beneficial, but is not required.

Finally you should possess a general understanding in the areas of application programming, database and system design and have good verbal and written communication skills.
