SCADA Technology Specialist

Our Client - Our client is a downstream oil and gas refinery firm which develops a diverse mix of crude oil and refined products pipelines as well as a crude oil acquisition and marketing assets. Our client is based near Reading, PA. Relocation is offered.

Job Description - Our client is looking for a SCADA Technology Specialist who will be responsible for managing and supporting data networks for 24x7 Petroleum Pipeline and Butane operations. In this role you will also be expected to manage and troubleshoot problems with LAN/WAN communication equipment on private IP and IPSEC Networks as well as assist with the design and implementation of network hardware and software to assure reliability and 100% uptime for critical operations.

Finally you will be responsible for daily maintenance and monitoring of firewalls, routers, switches, serial & IP-based radio links and third party network circuits and work with application vendors to provide a reliable SCADA infrastructure for their applications to run in a 24x7 real-time environment. You will also be expected to assist internal SCADA and systems personnel with their ability to provide reliable support for the Control Center group.

Candidate Requirements - For this role you must be degree educated with exposure to a Windows-based server and network environment. You must have experience designing, deploying, managing and supporting mission critical network environments based on Cisco hardware and iOs. You should also have exposure or experience in the oil and gas industry particularly in the SCADA environment.

Other experience wanted includes-

• Knowledge of all common routing protocols, including but not limited to EIGRP, OSPF, BGP and RIP v2
• Solid understanding of TCP/IP network protocols, including common application protocols
• Being a self-starter with the ability to gather requirements and produce results with minimal managerial input.
• Experience with PCI and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance
