Buyer - Shared Business Center United States-Nevada

Responsibilities include: Professional procurement services as required for Barrick sites in the North America Region. Duties will involve regional analysis and rationalization of spend, vendor base and synergy opportunities as well as general warehouse stock replenishment, direct charge purchasing, repairs, service, and other duties as required. Successful candidate must be able to work with sites to ensure compliance with Barrick Procurement Policies and Procedures; focus on securing the correct items with best value at the lowest total cost thereby contributing to overall cost reduction for the region by way of pricing and value add; and focusing on supplier management to ensure that the Company’s business partners are performing to Barrick standards and guidelines in support of the operations.

SELECTION CRITERIA

BASIC REQUIREMENTS: To be considered for this job, applicants must meet these basic requirements:

· One year of materials management experience in a mining operation, process plant or related industry required.

· Comprehensive knowledge of procure to payment systems and statutory requirements required.

· Ability to work safely and efficiently with minimum supervision required.

· Knowledgeable in MS Project, Access, Excel, and Word required.

· Excellent communication, leadership and technical skills required.

and work record will also be considered.
