Open-Ended appointment, s/he will retain his/her Regular or Open-Ended appointment. All others will be offered a 2 year renewable term appointment.

The role of IFC’s Human Resource and Administration Department (CHR) is to support IFC to achieve its business goals through the implementation of HR policies and processes that support the attraction, retention, deployment and development of IFC staff members. CHRPM (HR Strategy, Workforce Analytics and HR Tools and Systems) provides high-quality workforce analysis and strategy recommendations to guide IFC Management Team decision-making. CHRPM also develops tools, improves systems and trains users that support HR operations. CHRPM works with HR program owners to simplify and standardize HR business processes and enhance program outputs. By enabling data-driven decision-making CHRPM ensures that staffing policies and programs drive business performance and foster staff engagement.

CHRPM is seeking a Human Resources Analyst to support workforce analysis with a focus on staffing trends, HR employment framework and organizational management. The selected staff member will work in coordination with other HR Analysts and HR Officers to ensure that data analysis is consistent with institutional practices and advances the department’s work programs.

Duties and Accountabilities:
HR Analytics

• Prepare and present HR data and analysis for client decision making

• Develop and implement foundations for HR analytics including common and consistent processes, protocols, definitions, system functional design and HR metrics across organizational levels

• Support the reporting and analysis of HR metrics (e.g. managerial span of control, performance metrics etc.)

• Define, develop and implement approach to categorizing staff by functions/ job stream.

• Communicate and train HR teams to ensure that systems, tools, processes and organizational reporting is understood and recorded properly.

• Master HR core systems to fulfill management team requests for HR data and analysis

• Support WBG and IFC staff surveys and associated processes including organizational hierarchies, survey administration and questionnaire design

HR Effectiveness

• Identify, document and validate process improvements to HR operations and systems that maximize efficiency, improve management ability to lead units/departments and enhance manager and staff experience with HR programs and systems.

• Define knowledge management needs (HR staff) required to support client’s requirements.

• Participate as a core member of the analytics team in the development of a strong HR analytics function and as a corporate player in the department

Selection Criteria:
• Bachelor’s degree in relevant area, e.g. HR Management or Behavioral Science, Business Administration, Mathematics or advanced degree in any of the above

• At least three years of professional experience working in a large public or private sector institution with demonstrated ability to enable management decision-making with high-quality analysis, engaging key stakeholders to guide analysis and resulting work programs

• At least two years of professional experience in workforce analysis, metrics, reporting and benchmarking in corporate HR or consulting environment

• Advanced knowledge of MS Excel to efficiently process requests and produce clear and actionable analysis

• Innovative and client-centered approach to analyzing trends and presenting data

• Knowledge of HR processes including workforce planning and performance management

• Experience with project management, organizational analytics, HR strategy development and HR metrics definition

• Strong oral and written communications and presentation skills, ability to translate complex data for a variety of audiences, and experience with preparing client-ready materials and presenting recommendations to senior leaders

• Strong orientation towards quality control and superb attention to detail

• Pro-active approach to work, taking initiative and willingness to learn

• Eagerness to work in a fast paced and dynamic work environment

• Strong commitment to working within team structures and across formal boundaries

• Ability to build strong working relationships with counterparts across departments and the World Bank Group
