Hernic Ferrochrome (Pty) Ltd, a subsidiary of Tokyo-based Mitsubishi Corporation, is the 4th largest integrated Ferrochrome producer in the world, situated in Brits, North West Province, about 30km from Pretoria, 50km from Johannesburg and 15km from the Hartbeespoort Dam.
The organisation is an integrated mining company, which has its own chrome ore resources as well as four furnaces, one of them being the biggest ferrochrome-producing furnace in the world.

Junior Surveyor
The purpose of this role in the Mining Division, Survey Sector is to undertake surface, opencast and underground surveying.

The incumbent will:

• Implement survey strategies within area of responsibility
• Effectively collect and report survey data
• Install lines and grades in flat tunnels and stopes
• Ensure adherence to the company’s SHEQ management programme and policies.

Requirements:

• Minimum Matric or NQF level 4 equivalent
• Basic survey certificate or equivalent
• 2 years’ experience in the survey section
• Computer literacy in MS package
• Medically fit.
