Our organization manages one of the world’s largest sources of private capital for microfinance. The financial resources come from investments by individuals, institutions and churches. On an annual basis a modest dividend is paid out to its shareholders.
We are currently looking for a new colleague who can either be based at Oikocredit International in Amersfoort, The Netherlands, or at our country office in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan.
Legal and Compliance Officer

Responsibilities
The new colleague will assist the Regional Development Centre of Eastern-Europe and Central Asia (RDC EECA) by reviewing the regulatory and legal framework of projects, related legal documents and legal and compliance issues of the offices in this region. The main focus of the legal and compliance officer will be towards upgrading standard templates and procedures and ensuring proper legal documentation. This position is initially for 9 months.
Education and experience
- Master degree in commercial law
- 5 years of relevant legal work experience
- Thorough knowledge of English, fluency in Russian desired
- Willingness to travel
- Knowledge of or experience in the region
- Excellent communication skills
