We are looking for Oracle Developer/Application Support Analyst to join our dynamic and rapidly evolving Operations Team.

The Operations Team is currently staffed with over 50 of iSolutions' most senior professional specialists and is considered as the final level of escalation for technical issues. We have experienced infrastructure engineers, network specialists, DBAs and application support professionals. We now aim to have 18 people dedicated to application support.

To be successful, you'll likely have an apps or web development background with knowledge and skills in some or all of the following:

  • Unix and/or Linux administration & configuration
  • SQL and SQL scripting
  • XML Publisher
  • Oracle Applications
  • Forms and Report Customisation/Personalization
  • JTF framework/Grids
  • Building web pages from scratch, communicating with users and interpreting their requirements; conforming to W3C standards;
  • Thorough understanding of client side web application development
  • XHTML / HTML
  • Serverside Includes (SSI)
  • Java, Javascript
  • Experience of using standard Javascript Libraries, such as JQuery,
  • CSS, XML, XSLT
  • IIS, Apache, Tomcat / JSP Container
  • Extension of Oracle applications/e-business suite - CRM/customer online/TCA
  • OA Framework
  • BizTalk
  • Planon
  • SVN software repository
  • BMC Remedy
  • Northgate HR
  • Agresso Financials
  • OCCAM PAMS
  • IRIS Donor Strategy
  • Scientia Syllabus Plus
  • Microsoft SharePoint
  • Support of vendor-supplied multi-tiered applications;
  • rapidly learning new products and how they are best supported in a Production environment;
  • the challenges of operating in a mixed Unix/Linux/Windows/Mac environment

Typical activities that the above skills will support include (but are not limited to):

  • Increasing the resilience, reliability and ultimately the availability of all applications and services;
  • System maintenance, updates, upgrades and patches;
  • Pre-emptive maintenance;
  • Failure investigations / Bug Fixes;
  • Systems roadmap planning - e.g. if the OS must be upgraded, what does this mean to the app layer? When will the vendor force us to upgrade? What effect on apps? etc.
  • Feature requests / functional improvements;
  • Assisting with procurements and implementation of new systems;
  • Acceptance of new applications into Production;
  • Disaster Recovery Design and Planning and testing;
  • Day to day Business Continuity
  • support of vendor-supplied multi-tiered applications;
  • rapidly learning new products and how they are best supported in a Production environment;
  • Dealing with the challenges of operating in a mixed Unix/Linux/Windows/Mac environment
