The Opportunities
The Natural Science and Public Health Department at Zayed University, invites applications for full-time positions in Environmental Science.

Successful candidates will have the opportunity to contribute to the goal of developing environmental scientists and managers for the U.A.E. and to display leadership in curriculum development and research. Faculty are sought who can offer high-quality teaching and research in areas such as environmental health, environmental science, sustainability science, energy science and help develop innovative interdisciplinary courses and programs. Evidence of teaching excellence and experience is important. Preference will be given to those able to help develop programs, teach at the graduate level, and contribute to the general education science program.

The Requirements

• Doctorate in one of the environmental science or environmental health disciplines
• Well-defined and relevant research agenda and/or professional environmental management experience
• Relevant teaching experience as well as active research/professional interests
• Student-centered and innovative approach to teaching environmental science
• Research / work experience in non-academic settings such as environmental or energy management, consultancy, urban planning etc is desirable
• Experience with one or more of the following is desirable: environmental chemistry, environmental microbiology, energy sciences, geo-sciences, environmental impact assessment, environmental management and regulation.
