The opportunity:
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Sales Manager at the prestigious Royal Holloway, University of London, superbly located in a parkland campus in Egham, Surrey.

Job purpose:
In this role you will need to increase sales of our conference and event facilities including: two spectacular banqueting halls in our Grade I listed Founder's building, over 3,000 bedrooms and a wide range of conference and meeting rooms.

You will be responsible for generating and maximising revenue by managing a small team that sells Royal Holloway's conference and events facilities.

As an experienced conference sales professional, you will use your own skills to proactively locate and develop new business in line with agreed revenue targets, ensuring all opportunities are taken to promote facilities to customers and increase the client base.

A key part of this role will be to effectively motivate, develop and lead the Account Management / Business Development Team to achieve and/or exceed their targets.

The successful candidate will be:

• A highly motivated self-starter with a can-do attitude and a continued sense of urgency to meet or exceed targets.
• Experienced in coaching, mentoring and motivating a sales team.
• Able to build close working relationships with clients and colleagues, ensuring that you understand what is important to them and therefore what you need to do to enhance this.
• Able to follow established policies and procedures and have an eye for detail, which will help you to deliver the highest possible level of customer service.
• Flexible in their approach to working hours, especially during the main conference periods.
