AngloGold Ashanti Health (Pty) Ltd renders health services to the employees of AngloGold Ashanti and its operations.

Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced individuals for the following positions at our Western Deep Level Hospital in the Carletonville area and West Vaal Hospital in the Orkney area (Please indicate clearly your area of preference).

SENIOR AND CHIEF MEDICAL OFFICERS

Applicants will need:

• To be registered for independent medical practice with the HPCSA
• The ability to work in a team and company environment
• To prescribe to a philosophy of evidence-based medicine and managed care
• Good verbal and written communication skills and to be computer literate
• To obtain a Certificate of Fitness
• A valid driver’s licence
• An additional diploma in one or more of the following: Anaesthetics; Internal Medicine; HIV Management; Occupational Health; and Orthopaedics (essential for both positions)
• Four years’ relevant experience (for the Senior Medical Officer) and eight years’ relevant experience (for the Chief Medical Officer), which includes extensive experience in managing a department. Valid ATLS, ACLS and PALS certificates will be an advantage.
