Senior China Analyst , Observatory Group

Analyze the impact of China’s macroeconomic policies and political developments as they affect financial markets. Research and analyze China’s monetary and fiscal policies, political developments and regulatory issues; synthesize complex macroeconomic variables for global market participants, economists, strategists and asset managers. Provide clients with information regarding economic and political initiatives in targeted markets in China. Consult with clients on U.S. and China economic policy making and financial markets. Prepare economic studies affecting targeted markets. Develop relationships with major Chinese institutions and policy makers responsible for setting monetary, fiscal and regulatory policies. Requires a Master’s degree in Public Administration, Economics, Finance or a related field. Must have two years of experience in the job offered, or two years of experience as an analyst researching and analyzing China’s monetary, fiscal and macroeconomic policies, political developments and regulatory issues, as well as providing clients with information regarding economic and political initiatives in China. Must be fluent in spoken and written Chinese, including financial terminology. Frequent travel throughout China, US and Europe required.
