Executive Director Freedom Foundation Lagos

About the Freedom Foundation
Established in 2001, Freedom Foundation is a faith based, non-profit organization, committed to addressing the ever-mounting and staggering challenges within the society by empowering individuals who are plagued by various categories of social and economic challenges.

Freedom Foundation actively addresses social ills in partnership with government, other NGOs, civil society organizations and corporate institutions to ensure the delivery of human services at the greatest points of impact.

Freedom Foundation’s model

Rehabilitation: Freedom Foundation provides holistic rehabilitation services to drug and alcohol dependent people and to young female victims of sexual abuse, sexual exploitation, commercial sex work and human trafficking.

Education: Freedom Foundation provides education opportunities for orphans, vulnerable children and school-aged beneficiaries of the Foundation’s rehabilitation centers

Empowerment: Freedom Foundation alleviates poverty by providing financial and economic empowerment to unemployed youth and other economically challenged men and women seeking to be re-integrated into the society.

Research: Freedom Foundation conducts research studies to address knowledge gaps in the Foundation’s programs/projects and other related issues. This also includes the monitoring and evaluation of the Foundation’s programs.

Awareness Promotion: Freedom Foundation implements projects focused on increasing awareness and knowledge on social problems such as substance abuse, sexual abuse and human trafficking. Given that the Foundation’s target populations fall into the category of people most at risk for HIV infection, the Foundation also provides HIV prevention education, counseling, testing and referral services. Currently, the Foundation is one of the implementing partners for the Round 9 Global Fund HIV prevention project and Men’s Health Network Nigeria (MHNN), a CDC-funded HIV prevention project.
