DEPARTMENT:
ANTITRUST, COMPETITION AND TRADE PRACTICE
PURPOSE OF THE JOB: TO PROVIDE HIGH-QUALITY SUPPORT TO THE KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT TEAM

KEY TASKS

  • Monitoring, identifying and keeping lawyers informed of legal developments relating to EU competition law;
  • Assisting in managing, developing and updating our internal legal know-how database and competition practice intranet;
  • Helping to improve the efficiency and consistency of fee earners’ legal work by maintaining useful tools, such as standard forms, guidance notes and manuals;
  • Assisting in maintaining and regularly updating an electronic tool containing information on merger control rules in all jurisdictions;
  • Assisting in managing a database of our network of lawyers and law firms in jurisdictions where we do not have a presence;
  • Assisting the knowledge management team and fee earners in their research;
  • Training newcomers on research tools.

KEY STRENGTHS

Education/languages:

  • Fluent in English. Knowledge of French/German is an asset;
  • Law degree and/or prior professional experience as an information officer;
  • Good knowledge of EU competition law;
  • Strong technical skills of Windows based packages including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook, and of legal research tools.
