The Program and Position
The Indonesia Australia Development Scholarships (ADS) Program is part of the Australian Government Australia Awards initiative designed to promote knowledge, education links and enduring ties between Australia, the Asia Pacific region and the global community. The overarching goals of Australia's development awards are: to develop capacity and leadership skills so that individuals can contribute to development in their home country; and to build people-to-people links at the individual, institutional and country levels.
The program, managed by Coffey International Development is currently seeking applications for a Scholarships Human Resource Development (HRD) Adviser who will be responsible for building necessary Government of Indonesia relationships and developing, managing and evaluating the pilot programs. The Scholarships HRD Adviser will work under the overall direction of the Program Manager and provide support to the ADS HR support staff, the ADS post-award support staff and the M&E staff to ensure cohesion and integration between pilot activities and other program functions.

To be considered for this position you will be degree qualified and will demonstrate significant experience in HR planning within government and with Australian higher education and training frameworks. A demonstrated ability to engage with and work effectively with a range stakeholders including those from senior government level and private sector is essential. Experience in the identification of training needs, scoping and management of training activities and broader HRD is required. An understanding of development effectiveness principles and cross-cutting development themes as well as previous experience on a scholarship and/or HRD capacity building program is desirable.
