The School of Public and Environmental Affairs (SPEA), Bloomington campus, at Indiana University invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in nonprofit management/arts administration. Qualified candidates will have an excellent academic record; evidence of high quality research with a primary focus on nonprofit management/arts administration; a commitment to high quality teaching; and an interest in professional service.

The appointment is expected to be at the Assistant Professor level, although a more senior appointment is possible for an exceptionally qualified candidate. The individual selected for this position will be able to teach undergraduate- and graduate-level courses in nonprofit management and arts administration/policy, as well as serve on doctoral advisory committees.

International experience is desirable, but not required. The Ph.D. or equivalent terminal degree is required in an appropriate field (e.g., public affairs, public administration, arts administration, management, sociology, psychology, political science, economics) before the appointment is completed.

SPEA is a multidisciplinary, university-wide division of Indiana University and is organized as a professional school committed to excellence in research, teaching, and service, and to addressing critical issues of public policy and management. Faculty members teach required and elective courses at the undergraduate, professional masters, and doctoral levels. SPEA is one of the largest U.S. public affairs schools in the nation with more than 110 full-time faculty on its two main campuses, Bloomington and Indianapolis. The graduate program consistently ranks among the best in the country and the MPA nonprofit management specialty ranks number 1.
