Resident Expert in Sudan (MCD)

As part of the Project "Enhancing Engagement by the Middle East and Central Asia Department (MCD) with Conflict and Fragile States", the International Monetary Fund (IMF) has two openings for the position of Resident Expert, one in Libya and one in Sudan.
This project is funded by the U.K. Department for International Development (DfID) and has been designed by the IMF in collaboration with the DfID. The goal of the project is to help achieve sustainable economic growth and poverty reduction in six fragile and conflict-affected MCD territories (Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, Sudan, West Bank and Gaza (WBG), and Yemen) by improving macroeconomic governance. The project aims to support efforts by MCD to rebuild core macroeconomic capacity and institutions, and provide a sound macro-fiscal framework in these territories. In particular, this project will allow the enhancement of MCD's presence in these territories, and thus facilitate the IMF's ability to deliver a more intensive and better targeted assistance to countries' authorities in the areas at the core of the IMF's mandate.
