Security Architect - Air Traffic and Navigation Services Company

The Air Traffic and Navigation Services Company Limited of South Africa (ATNS) provides air traffic services throughout the country and is responsible for the provision of the air traffic control and navigation systems infrastructure necessary to ensure a safe and effective service.

Security Architect

Applications are invited for the position of Security Architect based at Bruma, Johannesburg. The successful applicant will be reporting to the Manager: Enterprise Architecture.

Major Activities: • Participating in the architectural governance process • Accountable for the governance aspects related to the security within ATNS to ensure the standards are maintained by the organisation • Responsible for the policies related to ICT security within ATNS • Managing the dependencies between the various areas of the business and ensuring that the various architecture components are aligned • Compiling work plans and resource requirements for the security streams • Developing the overall security approach • Compiling the application and interface standards for the development environment • Ensuring that the business requirements are understood and confirming/sign-off the business requirements • Managing the relevant tool selection process • Ensuring that the architecture meets the minimum performance and availability requirements for the organisation.

Minimum Qualifications: • Tertiary Degree/Diploma in Information technology or Engineering • Recent security certification required.

Minimum Experience: 5-7 years’ experience in a technical role.
