  • The Program
    The Mongolia Australian Scholarships Program (MASP) is an Australian Government initiative managed through AusAID in cooperation with the Ministry of Finance of the Government of Mongolia.
    The MASP is designed to improve the human resource capacity of Mongolian Government agencies, and targeted occupations in the private sector, NGOs and Universities. The MASP also aims to enhance the opportunities for knowledge sharing and institutional linkages between Australia and Mongolia.  

    The MASP office, managed by Coffey International Development, covers selected management, promotion, English Language Training and administrative functions for AusAID’s scholarship program, including course advice to applicants, facilitation of awardee selection, placement of students into Australian universities, student mobilisation, supporting reintegration of alumni to the workplace and program monitoring and evaluation.
     
    The Position
    The MASP is currently seeking applications for an Academic, ELT and Selection Advisor to provide support to candidates at general briefing sessions relating to their academic and English language learning needs and appropriate study course options. The Advisor will review current English language provision under the program and will also work with Program staff and partners to review and implement selection criteria for ADS scholars; and in the assessment, ranking and interviewing of candidates.
     
    To be considered for this position, applicants will be degree qualified and will need to demonstrate previous experience providing advice on educational programs with significant knowledge of the Australian tertiary education system. Previous experience teaching and reviewing performance in English language for academic purposes and experience assessing online applications and using database and web-based systems will be required. An understanding of AusAID scholarship programs and experience in Mongolia is desirable.
