Associate at Standard Chartered Bank


This role has been created to assist in the set up and development of a new Representative office in a pioneering market. The role will require a wide variety of activities associated with entering a new market and a multi-functional environment.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

To conduct research for obtaining required information and documentation towards supporting network clients as well as some local bank client on-boarding for international banking needs.

To gather the information and then access internal systems like e-mail , RM workbench and MIS for input, analysis and review purposes.

To market international banking products and services at various locations where SCB can pride these services as well as conduct educational sessions with local banks and international network clients through meetings/seminars.

To aid in the set up and management of a new Representative Office

Business translating between members of Standard Chartered Bank, local banks, government officials and other stakeholders as required

Qualifications & Skills

Fluency in Myanmar language
Strong knowledge of Myanmar business landscape
Credit analysis skills
Previous client due dilligence experience
Internal and external stakeholder management
Ability to multi-task in a challenging and dynamic environment
University degree
