Bookkeeper for a large Primary Health Care Project in Iraq


URC has an immediate need for a Bookkeeper for a large Primary Health Care Project in Iraq. Role and Responsibilities:
• Assist in preparation of the tax and the social security schedules bi-monthly; • Maintain the files for the tax forms for all the CCN staff with all the required documents and prepare them for any government an audit program; • Complete the annual payroll details and the deduction of the tax forms for the CCN staff • Complete the annual income tax schedule and match them with the individuals’ forms. Finally match them with the monthly payment which had been made to the tax office and the social security office; • Assist in cash payments to individuals; • Ensure that substantive evidence is available from reconciling to government tax report; • Assist in preparing the employee tax expense and liabilities prepared in conjunction with payroll; • Maintain the details of employee withholding tax reconciled to liability periodically to liability control accounts and tax returns; • File all the journals after they have been posted for the all the regions; • Check all the journals for all regions to ensure the descriptions are correct and consistent with guidelines from DC; • Check and ensure that all the vouchers for the regions have been fully translated and liaise with the accountants to make sure that full translations have been done. Also assist in doing simple transactions; • Photocopy all the files before sending the originals to DC through the FedEx; • Collect CCN staff timesheets for Mansour by the end of the 1st business day following the last day of the pay period; • Check timesheets for Mansour against the gates attendance sheets from Sallyport; • Carryout any other duties assigned as required by the Finance Officer.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
• BA in administration, accounting, economics or equivalent training in the related field; • 2 years professional experience in financing, accounting or other relevant area; • English level 3 is preferred.
