Humanitarian Organization for Local Development (HOLD) is a non-profit, non-governmental organization registered with Government of Afghanistan. HOLD aims at improving the living standard of local communities through education, awareness initiatives, local governance,
Agriculture and rural development projects. HOLD has offices in the provinces of Kabul, Logar, Wardak, Ghazni, Zabul, Farah and Kapisa.

Project Background: HOLD is starting a technical vocational training project in Nejrab district of Kapisa Province. The project aims at establishing a technical and vocational Center where youth from local communities could be trained in five different fields. The selection of the trainees will be coordinated with the local 
community to ensure fair representation from various villages of Nejrab district. 100 youth will be selected from a larger group. They would be trained in the areas of Auto‐repair (heavy, light vehicle, and vehicle wiring), Welding, Carpentry and Masonry. 

Job Summary

Duties and Responsibilities

Two Consultants will be hired for a period of ten
month and will be responsible for the following tasks:

• Coordinate project training activities with the Technical and Vocational
Education Department of the Ministry of Education, and Ministry of Labor and
Social Affair throughout the project; 
• Collect and review already existing training materials on the 5 selected technical
topic areas; 
• Translate (Dari-Pashto) and update the training materials according to the needs
of the beneficiaries of the project; 
• Develop assessment methods to understand the skill improvement of the project
participants on monthly; 
• Interpret the results, find factors affecting progress and mitigate for it;
• Prepare, translate and adjust training materials according to the needs and cultural 
sensitivities of the communities in Nejrab for the Civic Education and Health
Education components of the project; 
• Submit monthly progress reports to HOLD main office; 
• Perform any other relevant task as required;

Qualification


1. The candidate should be graduate from Vocational Training Schools/college, a 
university degree in the relevant field is preferred.
2. Should have at least 5 years of work experience in teaching and preparing training 
materials relevant to targeted skills (auto mechanic, carpentry, masonry, wilding,
mechanics)
