events fundraising volunteer


DURATION: 3 months, 3 days a week
LOCATION: Central London
CLOSING DATE: 6th January 2013
RENUMERATION: Reasonable travel and lunch expenses paid
If you are interested in understanding how a major NGO organises high profile fundraising events as well as gain some practical experience you should take a look at this volunteer role with ActionAid.
Join us and you will work on our high profile Call My Wine Bluff event. You will find yourself researching approaches and leads for the event’s live auction, silent auction and raffle as well as sourcing amazing prizes. You will contact potential prize donors and follow up calls with compelling proposals as well as keep accurate records of activities. You will also help with general admin support as needed.    
We will look to you to bring an interest in fundraising as well as an energetic and enthusiastic approach. You will have good PC and communications skills and the ability to negotiate well. A good researcher you will be highly organised and keen to help us reach our income targets.
