The Organisation
QGC is a leading Australian coal seam gas explorer and producer focused on supplying cleaner hydrocarbon energy to growing domestic and international markets.

We are establishing Queensland Curtis LNG, a world-first project to turn reserves of natural coal seam gas in the Surat and Bowen basins in Queensland into liquefied natural gas (LNG) – a carbon efficient fuel.

QGC, which is wholly owned by the British energy company BG Group, employs more than 4,300 staff and contractors. 
Position Summary
This incumbent will provide administration support to the site project team assisting with the overall administration of the QGC Project Upstream activities in the North.
Key Accountabilities
Core Accountabilities

Position Specific
• Coordinate & Manage site office and receptionist daily works. Provide reception relief when required.
• Monitor and evaluate site administrative practices, systems and procedures to identify best practice and develop and implement new administrative systems and processes for increased efficiency.
• Manage the office by being the secondary contact for enquiries, screening telephone calls, providing appropriate responses to staff and external clients.
• Assist with administration duties as directed by the Field Area Manager.
• Provide assistance to the Superintendents, Supervisors and Inspectors as directed by the Field Area Manager.
• Coordinate site IT issues as required.
• Assist with the collation of daily and weekly reports
• Draft correspondence as required and collect information and data to compile reports and papers.
• Manage procurement of all office supplies of stationery, equipment and furniture purchase, storage and management of all stationary and resources essential for the operation of the Office.
• Processing the data and store the information in hard and or soft copy format in accordance with the procedures.
• Actioning internal and external requests for data and documentation.
• Gathering data and information for daily reports and project schedules.
• Certifying Contractor and Vendor invoices
• Maintaining registers and files
• Establish and maintain effective communications with, and provide assistance to, site superintendents’, project inspectors, consultants and contractors.
• In addition to these duties, the Lead Administrator will be expected to perform such other duties as may from time to time be assigned by QGC. The Lead Administrator may be required to carry out such other instructions and directions as QGC may from time to time reasonably and lawfully give to you.

• The contractor must abide by company policy in relation to HR policies and procedures and meet deadlines within the appropriate timeframes

Unique Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Attribute
Experience Required
• Experience in a similar position
• Office Supervisor / Management Experience
• Administration experience
• Experience in administration within a project environment.
 
Knowledge, Languages,
Skills and Attributes
• Understanding of accounts payable and other administrative processes within a large corporate environment
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
• Ability to work alone and unsupervised on occasions;
• Ability to deal with stakeholders at all levels and capacity to deal with the occasional difficult or hostile customer
• Maintain confidentiality
• Flexibility to undertake new tasks and take on new responsibilities as the project enters the construction phase

Special Features
