Lead Drilling Engineer Reports to Principal Well Engineer or Well Engineering Manager

Position Summary Provide Drilling Engineering support for the upcoming drilling projects and rig operations Preparation of engineering documents as per BG Well Delivery Process including Drilling Design Documents, Well Programs, End of well Reports, AFEs Work on well material requirements, preparation and technical evaluation of tender documents Support Wells Team Leader to run drilling operations as per BG standards Over all purpose of the job is provide engineering support to drilling team

Key Accountabilities   To work on Well Engineering inputs on Front End Engineering and Design of new drilling projects, and work to complete the all the reviews as per BG Well Delivery Process using BG software Prepare comprehensive engineering plans for drilling and well completions as per BG standards. Review available data, conceptualize design philosophy, and generate possible alternatives. Evaluate and select the best option, obtain inputs from service vendors and develop detailed engineering and well drilling plan document Monitor Well Construction operations. Analyze daily Drilling and Operations reports. Undertake quantitative analysis of well data by using specialized application software, interacting extensively with Subsurface , Operations, Engineering, Service personnel and with Drilling Superintendent on Operational issues. Coordinate with service vendors and other departments; fully comprehend the requirements of the development group related to subsurface geological requirements. Appraise all service providers of our needs, concerns & expectations, discuss, review and evaluate their inputs, identify & suggest areas of improvements and highlight areas of concern Identify requirement of equipment and services six to nine months prior to operations, develop equipment specifications, prepare detailed Scope of Work and Scale & Magnitude of requirement. Prepare Drilling Budgets and Drilling Schedules, Authorization for Expenditure (AFE) and AFE reconciliation for wells. Review with other groups (Exploration, Reservoir, Production, Construction) on long term & medium term plans, physical work program, resource requirements in line with approved Budgets for Partner approval and funding Reconcile AFE of wells by comparing actual expenditure incurred based on Well Consumption statements and review of drilling Inventory Levels and develop solutions for alternative use or disposal Maintain detailed End of Well Drilling Reports, Well Records and Database Monitoring, trending, analysis and reporting KPIs in PERORMIS software.   Every individual has a duty to both themselves and those around them to ensure that safe practice is adhered to at all times. Unique Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Attribute Experience Needed in the following areas:  ·         well engineering and well construction ·         well completion Specialist Knowledge/Languages:   Degree in engineering (Mechanical/petroleum/chemical) Self motivated, collaborative and delivery focused Significant exposure to drilling operations as engineer capacity.  Communication skills to for effective management of stake holders Special Features:   Frequent offshore visits
