QGC is a leading Australian coal seam gas explorer and producer focused on supplying cleaner hydrocarbon energy to growing domestic and international markets.

We are establishing Queensland Curtis LNG, a world-first project to turn reserves of natural coal seam gas in the Surat and Bowen basins in Queensland into liquefied natural gas (LNG) – a carbon efficient fuel.

QGC, which is wholly owned by the British energy company BG Group, employs more than 4,300 staff and contractors. 
Position Summary
The Execution Advisor will provide direction and support to the Project Manager and senior staff in the following areas:
• Regular reporting on the status of project, sub-contractor and contractor performance, resources, safety, environmental, schedule and support backup within projects
• Development of all facilities project plans, standards, policies and procedures
• Implement change management and supervisory processes across all construction related issues within projects
• Manage scoping and control resources affecting process, production and end dates, reviews, KPIs and completion processes

Position Specific
• Champion the project HSSE principals in all aspects of work undertaken
• Assures the work is carried out in compliance with the contract documents
• Responsible for an assigned geographic area or areas of work
• Ensures safe and on time delivery of assigned multi disciplined work
• Provides expert advice on construction strategies as an owners team representative
• Construction programmes are monitored and analyzed to reflect progress
• Responds to contractors’ letters and RFI as required
• Senior management are kept fully abreast of all key risks and issues
• Provides the necessary leadership and coordination required for a mega project
• Risk register for assigned areas of work is kept updated
• Review EPC Contractor’s detail design, installation engineering and installation procedures
• QC daily construction reports and manage / monitor daily construction operations
• Monitor performance and technical integrity of contractors and service providers
• Participate in local and external peer reviews/assists as required
• The incumbent will be responsible for providing direction to the Lead Execution Advisors, oversight as the owners representative on sub-contractor works and vendor personnel allocated to the individual projects and ensure that the safe progress of the works proceeds according to the overall schedules and achieve the objectives of the company
• In addition to these duties, the incumbent will be expected to perform such other duties as may from time to time be assigned by QGC. The incumbent may be required to carry out such other instructions and directions as QGC may from time to time reasonably and lawfully give to you

People Management
• Responsible for all construction staff allocated to them within the designated projects
• Build and develop the owners team capability during the development and execution of the project
• Ensure the performance of the personnel provide a safe and successful operation during the start up, scheduled works and hand over of the satisfactorily completed works to the operations group
• The contractor must abide by company policy in relation to HR policies and procedures such as annual HR cycle and meet deadlines within the appropriate timeframes

Health Safety Security and Environment (HSSE)
• Every individual has a duty to both themselves and those around them to ensure that safe practice is adhered to at all times. In addition to any specific accountabilities for HSSE, all Contractors are accountable for HSSE within their area of the Business and are responsible for ensuring that their team (if applicable) adopt exemplary HSSE behaviours
• All QGC Contractors are expected to be aware of, and adhere to the Business Principles at all times under Conduct, Our People, Society and HSSE and to participate in relevant training
Unique Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Attribute
Experience Required
 
• Significant experience on large scale oil and gas projects from both an owners and contractors perspective
• Proven experience with safety management systems and the application of HSSE principles on construction projects
• Proven experience overseeing a team to achieve outcomes
• Proven experience managing contractors in line with a contract for service
• Proven experience dealing with external parties i.e. landowners etc
• Proven experience in project control and reporting systems
 
Knowledge, Languages,
Skills and Attributes
• Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field or equivalent
• Chartered member of relevant engineering institution, or equivalent, desirable
• Understanding of the designated processes, systems and plant operations to enable the safe and successful completion of the works
• Team player and ability to foster team relationships
• Ability to deliver a safe and committed team culture and meet project targets and priorities
• Ability to take projects from a specific engineering design through to construction, commissioning and handover to operations and manage the support services and resources required
• Ability to manage a team of diverse disciplines in engineering, supervision, labour and vendor personnel to deliver a safe and completed project.
