Nambawan Super Chief Executive


Nambawan Super currently has in excess of three billion Kina under management, over 120,000 members and is Papua New Guinea’s premier superannuation fund. Mandated changes by the Central Bank to the superannuation legislation, has greatly enhanced the rigour and oversight required of all associated with the industry, including Directors, Executives and Managers. A newly appointed Board at Nambawan are now seeking expressions of interest for suitably qualified individuals to participate in building capability to support the ongoing development of this very successful institution with a renewed commitment to member welfare, and a sense of excellence and genuine accountability.

Chief Executive 

The Chief Executive will report to the Board and be responsible for developing an enhanced strategic vision, and ensuring over the next two to three years that capability is significantly developed within local staff. You will also liaise with the regulatory authorities, key stakeholders and commercial partners. Ideally, you will be formally qualified in a relevant discipline, have significant experience within financial services with a history of significant cultural change and the ability to develop a performance culture. Previous experience in PNG or a similar environment would be highly regarded. Ref No. 212.1.3600
Remuneration packages will consist of two components: a salary package incorporating a base and performance incentive; and a cost of living component that may be either residential or FIFO, include accommodation, utilities, health, transportation and return airfares.
