Operator Grade I: Shovel (Mining Operations)

This role will see you operate production shovels (hydraulic and rope face shovels), including LeTourneau (330T FEL), Komatsu WA800, WA1200 FEL, PC8000 Face Shovel, CAT 992 & 994 Front-end loaders; Liebherr 996 Face Shovel, P&H XPB 2300, 2800 Rope Shovel and Demag 285 Face Shovel. Multiskilling on all of these shovels and other primary equipment may be required required. You'll assist in moving all mining equipment for production and clean the working area and equipment/vehicles.
You will need a Grade 12/N3 certificate, 1 or more years' experience in mining equipment/drilling (as relevant) and a valid driver's licence will be recommended.
Additional Information:
- This vacancy is a 6-month fixed term contract.
- You must be certified medically fit and will be appointed subject to being assessed after training and declared competent by the Functional Mining Training Department, and you must have passed the Dover test.
