Relationship Manager Standard Chartered Bank - Tanzania

•To acquire, grow and deepen PIL and WM customer relationship between the companies, customers, branches and sales groups.
•To support SD for PIL and CASA budgets
•To achieve balance growth of the business by:-
1.Deepening relationships to grow payroll
2.Growing the approved companies base to expand selling opportunities
3.Monitoring portfolio performance to ensure quality and attrition management
•To ensure effective TAT and services to PIL customers 

Key Roles & Responsibilities 

•Draw up monthly plans for achieving new business Budget
•Organize sales presentations with your teams within the companies in your portfolio Proactively manage sales to new staff joining companies within your management scope
•Actively participate in CASA and Personal Loans marketing and promotional activities for customer acquisition.
•Identify and process approval of on new companies from OCC to add on the approved list for PIL payroll and CASA
•To Achieve PIL and CASA targets
•To identify selling opportunities in the approved list of companies for PIL and payroll organizations for CASA

CUSTOMER DUE DILIGENCE AND AML
•Remain alert to the risk of Money laundering and assist in the Banks’ effort in combating it by adhering to the key principles in relation to: ‘Identifying your customer, knowing your customer, reporting suspicions, safeguarding records and not disclosing suspicions to customers’.

•Coordinating and conducting operational risk, compliance and money laundering prevention training for staff.

•Maintaining relationship for business continuity, new business and cross selling opportunities. 

Qualifications & Skills 

•University degree holder and 5 years experience in Banking Operations gained through working in the Core areas of Banking.
•Professional qualification in Banking or Accounting preferred
•Good knowledge of the Group Operational and Compliance Risk Policies
•Analytical, problem solving and attention to detail
•Experience in Audit or Control an advantage though not a prerequisite
•Strong leadership, decision-making and management abilities.
•Proficiency in using key Banking systems and a good understanding of process mapping and process review
•A strong team player capable of interacting with senior business/risk management.
•A good performance track record.
Complexity in the job arises from the following factors
•Identification of sign up of selected target market
•Perceptive ability in relating customer needs with products and services offered
•Co-ordination of the sales process by liaising with SD on a day to day basis to maximize sales effectiveness.
Judgement is required on a day to day basis for
•Identifying sales initiatives and opportunities and ensure timely execution
•Identifying key potential customers
