International Tax Supervisor Aon - Chicago

The International Tax Supervisor is responsible for the preparation and timely filing  of international tax returns including but not limited to Form 1118, 5471, 8858 and 8865. Assist with tax department processes such as audits, planning or departmental systems. Reports to Senior Tax Manager – International Tax. 
-Prepare and/or review US reporting of foreign operations, including IRS Forms 5471, 8858 and 1118 as well as other various Schedule M-1 computations.
- Review/prepare earnings and profits calculations and tax pools for foreign subsidiaries.
-Coordinates and resolves issues with internal and external auditors to facilitate orderly audit processes.
 -Assist with all aspects of U.S.foreign tax credit utilization.
-Responds to information document request related to international tax aspects of IRS audit.
 -Assist in international tax planning projects and research
 -Coordinates with Treasury department to optimize cash repatriation strategies with minimalUStax cost.
 -Monitors the effectiveness of systems, policies, and procedures and makes appropriate recommendations to ensure that daily operations are efficient; assists in implementing approved changes.
 -Prepares and/or supervises completion of tax projects and analyses as requested by management.
 -May supervise assigned department staff; ensures a competent, motivated staff through hiring, training, counseling, supervising, and reviewing performance of employees.
Requirements:
Undergraduate degree in accounting or finance required.  CPA and advanced degree in taxation highly desirable.
Requires the following: 
  • Prior international tax compliance experience – 5-7 years.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interface with all levels within the corporation and various business units. 
  • Ability to identify and analyze organizational needs with solid problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to provide supervisory and leadership skills in being flexible, creative, team-oriented and process-driven.
