Key duties and Responsibilities

• Head MERCY Malaysia (MM) (Operation Division) on day-to-day activities. • Provide leadership and guidance in divisional decision making. • Accountable for other cross functional areas (Volunteer Management Department, Relief Operations Department & Disaster Risk Reduction Department) • Responsible for supporting all initiatives and contributes to organization wide initiatives. • Managers more complex aspects of MM including stakeholder management. • Ensure Head Of Departments leadership and managerial development are implemented • Accountable for divisional performance – meeting KPI and targets and overall operational performance • All soft issues are managed (capability building, engagement, coaching, personal guidance, teamwork etc) • Manage reputational risk and branding in operational deliveries • Promptness in responding during emergency phases (desk research) • Provide insights and advices to ED and EXCOs • Prepare succession planning (manpower, leadership etc) • Sustain good organizational climate and staff interpersonal relationship • Manage lasting impacts in sustainable development programmes – DRR and non-crises activities
