About SIDO
SIDO has been designed as a “Group” consisting of 3 main natures of work: 1) NGO, 2) Social Enterprise, and 3) Private Business Sector.
It was founded in 2001 by three Group Founders: Cambodian, Australian and American with networking and work coordination management in Cambodia, Australia, UK, US and other countries with various fields of priority, theme, and business model in different countries.
Funding & Sources: The majority funding is private funds while the rest are in-kind donations and funding supports by charity foundations and families and by various potential donors.
Personnel and Staff: Multi-nations, multi-cultures and backgrounds who are committed to our works and priorities and more importantly, the Mission and Vision with each nature of work sectors.
Statement Working in various developing countries through a guideline of Group Founders and Funders of SIDO (NGO, Social Enterprise, and Private Business Sector) across Africa, Middle East, Asia and the Asia Pacific, SIDO’s stated Global Strategic Goal (2014-19) is to reach as many children, youth, women and men as possible, particularly those who are excluded or marginalized, with high-quality programs that deliver long-lasting benefits. SIDO aims to achieve this goal by working in partnership with others and through high performing teams whose behaviors reflect the corporate values.
The Country Director (CD) leads the Country Office which is part of a regional network of country offices supervised by a Regional Office. S/he is responsible for the leadership of the country team and the quality, effectiveness and efficiency of all work that takes place in SIDO’s assigned country. S/he also leads the implementation and regular renewal of the Country Strategic Plan which is aligned with the Global Strategy and designed to be effective in the local context using SIDO´s approach called People Centered Community Development and Integration (PCCDI).
The latest Country Strategic Plan has been approved for the period of 6 years (2014-2019). The target country program needs to reach an estimated 3,000,000 children, 3.5 M youth and 7 M adults (men and women) in 8 program areas as planned. It has an annual turnover of US $15 – $25 M, a team of 100 - 500 staff, a case load of 68,164 sponsored children and a portfolio of 9 grants.
