Country office manager, Myanmar


We are looking for an experienced administrator to manage our office in Myanmar. The post is based in Yangon, but may require some travel to attend meetings within Myanmar to project areas of our partners.
The post-holder will be responsible for effective and efficient administrative systems and procedures and for the effective management of information and IT systems and databases and take responsibility for the office budget and accounts in the Yangon office. The purpose of the role is to be responsible for maintaining, developing and implementing essential administrative systems to enable the team to function smoothly and effectively, proactively taking responsibility for making things work, for example managing the relationship and performance of external suppliers, providing travel support as required and being responsible for the provision of Tier 1 HR and/or IT administrative support.
Candidates should have proven experience in a business administration, commerce or management discipline with at least three years at a senior position in reputed organizations. The person should have working knowledge and experiences with GO and NGO. Other essentials are: Demonstrated experiences in establishing and maintaining effective office systems and procedures including budget preparation; Experience of Excel and Word processing packages; Understanding of Human Resources management, processes and procedures, including recruitment, performance appraisal and staff development and local employment legislation; Experience of budget reporting, strong analytical skills and the ability to act rapidly and flexibly; Motivation to work independently and prioritise competing demands; Ability to research, introduce and monitor new systems and procedures; Excellent IT skills and fluency in English and Burmese.
